An Effective Slicker Brush for Detangling & De-Shedding
This slicker brush features tightly packed, fine wire pins designed to gently but effectively tackle tangles, knots and loose fur. It’s particularly well suited to medium to long coats, as well as thick, wiry and double-coated dogs, where reaching down into the undercoat is essential.
The flexible pins help lift away dead hair and loose undercoat while smoothing the top coat, making it an excellent tool during moulting seasons. Slicker brushes are suitable for most coat types, with the exception of very short-haired dogs.
How to Use
Brush slowly and gently in the direction of coat growth. The bendy pins help pull away loose hair without tugging, leaving the coat looking neat and tidy.
If your dog is comfortable, you can apply light pressure to help remove more undercoat — but never press the pins into the skin.
To remove knots or tangles, isolate a small section of fur and work through gradually, starting at the outer edges and moving inwards as the hair loosens.
Always start gently and watch your dog’s body language. If they become uncomfortable or restless, pause or end the session.
